Making wireless sensor & multimedia data available over internet

Software & Tools

Adding Wi-Fi support to a software product can be a daunting task. The H&D Wireless Software Development Kit (oWL ©) removes this complexity by providing a programming interface that is very simple to use while still being standards compliant, fully featured and able to support Wi-Fi-certified products. When a supported IP-stack is used, the only work needed to integrate WiFi support in a software product is:

  1. implement a method of selecting Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs)
  2. add a WEP key or a WPA/WPA2 pass phrase for security (optional)
  3. decide whether to enable or disable the Wi-Fi power save mode

At the other end of the spectrum a full-custom porting to a new IP-stack is still a straight-forward process that is fully supported by the API.The oWL© SDK API is fully documented, including usage examples for all functions. The software suite is provided with software reference designs in source code that uses all features of the oWL© SDK API and can be used simply as usage examples or as the basis of a complete Wi-Fi-enabled software solution.
